I hate to be harsh, but it was mentioned in "Divided Soul" that during the 70's, our hero wouldn't let Motown use his own recording studio for their overflow work. I was mortified when I read that! I wish I could kick Marvin in the shins for being such a selfish bully! He could have profited heavily in allowing some of his fellow Motowners to use his studio, & he could even participate in their sessions! Remember the book, "Rock Stars Do The Stupidest Things"? Well, instead of using Marvin's Air Force stint, the book should have used his refusal to share his studios! So, what do you guys think? If I were in our hero's shoes, I wouldn't throw away an easy moneymaker like that!

Marvin once tricked Rick James into thinking every Motown artist received bonuses on their contracts or whatever and Rick didn't get one. When he confronted Berry about it, Berry adamantly told him he didn't give out bonuses. cheesy
