Hello all, I'm currently working on a dissertation project about Motown and have a case study on marvin gaye. Im mainly looking at the Whats goin on era and how the economic, political etc... of the time had an impact on what marvin wrote.

are there any books/documentaries you recommended?

Ben Edmonds' book might help as well as David Ritz's book when they get to that point in Marvin's life.
