Although these two had their quarrels while making this album, one can't help but notice the great performance they gave on this album. They both brought some very powerful vocals to the studio.

Contrary to popular belief, Marvin and Diana really admired each other. I don't think Marvin would've popped up at Diana's concerts if he didn't admire her.

The studio controversy with "Diana & Marvin" was a high ego trip, nothing more than that, really. Plus Marvin didn't feel like doing any more duets with anybody. He felt after Tammi's death that the duets were forced on him by Motown.

Regarding the last pic...Do any of you guys have the video of that? I'd love to see the context of it.

BTW a long time ago I saw a vid on youtube of Diana singing "someday we'll be together" and she had Marvin sing a whole verse. He looked nervous as hell but he did a great job.
